Day care indications

Indications for day care admission are determined by the specialist after a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s overall health condition and the nature of the procedure.

Criteria considered for day care admission include:

• Minimally invasive procedures or surgeries with low risk of complications.
• Short intervention time and quick recovery.
• Stable physical condition without complex internal medical conditions.

The Day Care Unit accommodates various outpatient surgeries and procedures across multiple specialties, including:

• Gastroenterology: Gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polyp removal, endoscopic interventions, etc.
• ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat): Adenoidectomy, myringotomy with tube insertion, nasal septum correction, etc.
• Urology: Endoscopic stone removal, bladder biopsy, urethroscopy, etc.
• Ophthalmology: Cataract surgery, eyelid surgery, minor conjunctival procedures, etc.
• Obstetrics and gynecology: Uterine curettage, hysteroscopy, ovarian cyst removal, etc.
• Orthopedics: Minor subcutaneous tumor removal, foreign body extraction, simple arthroscopy, etc.

Monitoring and care process

Patients are closely monitored throughout the entire procedure and recovery process to ensure maximum safety and a smooth recovery:

• Before the procedure/surgery: Nurses receive the patient, check medical records, monitor vital signs, and provide instructions for necessary preparation steps.
• After surgery: Patients are transferred to the recovery room, where the medical team continuously monitors vital signs and recovery progress until the patient is fully awake and stable.
• Before discharge: The doctor re-examines the patient, evaluates the treatment outcome, provides medication and home care instructions, and schedules a follow-up appointment or offers contact information for further medical support if needed.

The Day Care Unit is located separately on the 6th floor, offering a quiet and modern environment that strictly complies with infection control standards.

The preparation and recovery areas are equipped with an automated vital sign monitoring system to ensure continuous and accurate observation.

Each day care room is fully equipped with modern amenities:

• International-standard adjustable hospital beds.
• En-suite bathroom, central air conditioning, wifi, and nurse call system.
