This past Saturday, Hanoi French Hospital (HFH) had the pleasure of welcoming back over 50 children and their families for a heart-warming reunion at our special event, “Return to HFH – Where You Were Born.”
For the past 28 years, HFH has had the privilege of attending life’s first moments for tens of thousands of babies. To us, each of those children is a “petit rayon de soleil” – a little ray of sun – warm, radiant, and full of life. Seeing them return, now smiling, talking and running – some nearly as tall as their parents – brought immense joy to the members of HFH’s Maternity team.
At the event, they carefully wrote heartfelt messages to their doctors. They revisited photos from their very first days at HFH and watched touching videos featuring the obstetricians, midwives, and nurses, who have always considered mothers and babies part of the HFH family.
There were hugs, glowing smiles, and stories told with laughter – sometimes through happy tears. As mothers shared their deeply personal journeys of childbirth, the entire room was moved. These are more than just memories – they are living moments that reconnect the past and present, binding families and HFH in warmth and gratitude.
The atmosphere took a playful turn when some of our amazing mothers created a light-hearted skit, re-enacting moments from their first days after giving birth. Though time has passed, the memories of their stay at HFH – filled with gentle care and kindness from doctors, nurses, and midwives – still live vividly in their hearts.
Hanoi French Hospital would like to extend our thanks to all the families who returned to the place so many lives have begun. Thank you for giving us another day to share joy, celebrate love, and strengthen the bond between HFH and our ever-growing family of petits rayons de soleil.
Due to limited capacity, only a small number of families could join us for this event. We are already looking to more gatherings in the future, because every baby has a special place in the heart of HFH!
