The simulated scenario involved a sudden fire breaking out on the 6th floor of the hospital building. At the time of the hypothetical incident, many medical staff, patients, and their relatives were working and receiving treatment inside the building.
Upon “detecting the fire”, the security team promptly notified the hospital’s firefighting unit to carry out initial firefighting steps, evacuate people from the building, move belongings to a safe area, and call emergency number 114.

After receiving information about the fire, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City dispatched multiple firefighting vehicles, ladder trucks, and dozens of officers to the scene to handle the fire. The authorities successfully “controlled the fire” and evacuated individuals trapped on the rooftop to a safe area.

During the drill, professional firefighting teams, the hospital’s internal firefighting unit, and hospital staff coordinated in a structured and effective manner, ensuring the safety of all patients, visitors, and hospital employees.
Hanoi French Hospital organizes fire prevention and firefighting drills annually. In addition, the hospital regularly updates and widely disseminates fire safety plans, documents, and procedures to medical staff and other employees, ensuring that each staff member has basic fire safety skills and knowledge for fire prevention.

Prior to the drill, Fire and Rescue Team No. 10 coordinated with the hospital to conduct training sessions on fire safety skills for hospital staff.
The drill helped enhance the hospital’s emergency response capabilities, ensuring maximum safety for patients and staff in the event of a fire, while also testing the effectiveness of the hospital’s fire prevention procedures and equipment.
Mr. Pham Van Hung, Head of the HFH Security Team, stated that in addition to training and drills, the hospital regularly inspects its fire safety systems and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition. For many consecutive years, Hanoi French Hospital has been awarded certificates of merit by the Hanoi City Police for being an exemplary unit in fire prevention and fighting.
