Persistent shoulder pain is a common condition that can be associated with chronic internal medical diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, post-stroke complications, prolonged immobilization after cardiovascular interventions, or trauma-related surgeries. This condition can significantly affect daily activities, sleep quality, and overall quality of life.

Hanoi French Hospital is organizing the workshop “Persistent shoulder pain: Comprehensive care from medical treatment to surgery and rehabilitation”:

- Patients with a history of shoulder joint injury or periarthritis of the shoulder, suffering from chronic rotator cuff tendon damage that leads to reduced mobility or impaired quality of life
- Patients with shoulder pain caused by chronic internal medical conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis, and scleroderma.
- Patients with shoulder pain after a stroke (especially on the paralyzed side) or due to cardiovascular conditions requiring prolonged immobilization, such as myocardial infarction, post-coronary intervention, or coronary stent placement.
- Athletes, manual laborers, or individuals performing repetitive upper limb movements
- Family members or caregivers of patients

Dr. François Duroux – Doctorate in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology – University of Toulouse (France); National Diploma in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (France); nearly 30 years of experience in managing shoulder, hand, and wrist disorders, with specialized expertise in shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder replacement, microsurgery, and upper limb rehabilitation.
Dr. Dang Ngoc Tan – Master of Internal Medicine in Rheumatology, Hanoi Medical University; trained at CHG Dreux Hospital, University of Paris VI (France); over 20 years of experience in treating inflammatory and degenerative joint conditions, especially in the shoulder and spine, with strong expertise in medical and conservative treatment of joint function.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Dung – Resident doctor in Rehabilitation Medicine, Hanoi Medical University; advanced training in Thailand, Japan, and Austria; many years of experience in rehabilitation following injury or surgery.
