Preparation Guidelines
- Blood Tests: Fast for at least 12 hours. Avoid sugary drinks, juices, honey, milk, alcohol, coffee, and tea. Morning sample collection is ideal.
- Urine Test: Clean the genital area with water. Discard the first flow of urine and collect the midstream sample.
- Stool Test: Collect samples including mucus, blood, or loose stools.
- ThinPrep PAP Smear:
- Best performed 3–5 days after menstruation ends
- Do not perform if: vaginal bleeding, cervix inflammation, using vaginal medication, or sexual activity 24 hours before
