Pricing and payment policy

All medical services at Hanoi French Hospital are charged according to the hospital’s current pricing schedule.

Outpatient consultations

  • Consultation fees are paid after the medical consultation.
  • Fees for ancillary services such as laboratory tests, imaging, medication, or outpatient procedures must be paid before the service is performed.

Inpatient admission or procedures/surgeries

  • Based on the patient’s medical condition after consultation, the attending doctor will decide and issue an admission or procedure/surgery order.
  • When admission or a procedure/surgery is indicated, you will receive a cost estimate and be asked to sign the “Consent for Treatment.”
  • Reception, cashier, or Insurance Guarantee staff will assist you with all required formalities.
  • The hospitalization invoice must be completed and settled before discharge.
  • The hospital does not accept personal debt.

Advance payment

When an admission order is issued, you will be required to make an advance payment. The amount is calculated based on the treatment plan and room type. Our cashier will regularly update you on your treatment costs. If the actual costs exceed the initial advance, you will be informed to make an additional payment.

If you have insurance but the hospital has not yet received the Guarantee Letter at the time of admission, you are kindly requested to make an advance payment. Once the Guarantee Letter is received, the hospital will refund the corresponding amount upon discharge.

Advance payments can be made in cash, by credit card, or by bank transfer.

Additional payments and advance refunds

Upon discharge, you will need to settle any costs not covered by your insurance company.

Advance refund:

  • If paid in cash, the remaining balance will be refunded at the cashier counter.
  • If paid by card, the refunded amount will be transferred back to your credit account in accordance with State Bank regulations.

Insurance policy

Hanoi French Hospital cooperates with most major local and international insurance companies, with direct billing agreements currently in place with 43 insurance companies, 7 assistance partners, and 1 insurance management company.

When visiting or being admitted, please present:

  • Your ID card or passport
  • Your insurance card or policy information

If your insurance company has a direct billing agreement with the hospital, our Insurance Guarantee Department will assist with verification and guarantee procedures.

If there is no direct cooperation, our staff will guide and support you through the reimbursement process.

The hospital is always open to expanding partnerships with new insurance companies to maximize convenience for our patients.
