Hanoi French Hospital was proud to welcome some of the next generation’s brightest students into its halls recently, as members of Kumamoto University in Japan completed a tour of the hospital as part of their medical degree.

HANOI FRENCH HOSPITAL WELCOMES STUDENTS FROM KUMAMOTO UNIVERSITY, JAPAN

The students had the opportunity to meet HFH’s Dr. Masatoshi Tomonari, Dr. Akiko Tomonari and Dr. Shun Kubo, who spoke about their medical specialities. The students were also able to get a unique glimpse behind the scenes of daily life at HFH.

On their tour, the students visited HFH’s modern Imaging Department. Dr. Masatoshi Tomonari, an Anaesthesiology & ICU Specialist, led the students from department to department and his expertise and experience were of great inspiration to the students. As Dr. Tomonari is proficient in multiple languages, the students were able to interact with many different staff on their tour, with Dr. Tomonari able to translate across English and Japanese when the need arose.

The students met with Gastroenterology Specialist Dr. Akiko Tomonari, and General Physician Dr. Shun Kubo, both from Japan. The students asked questions about their career paths, international training and medical specialities.

Staff from HFH’s Organisational Teams also sat down with the intrepid scholars to explain aspects of the hospital function day to day, and field questions about how the hospital curates its patient-centred philosophy. The students had excellent questions prepared and took a particular interest in how the hospital caters for people from many different countries and backgrounds.

The Hanoi French Hospital team takes great pride in the fact that they are able to welcome patients from all corners of the world, and support not just the local community in the North of Vietnam, but the international community of residents and visitors too.

The students will now return to Japan and refocus on their studies, hopefully with their dreams of working in the medical industry closer to realisation. The team at HFH wishes them the best of luck on the path they choose for their futures.

HFH is committed to continuously strengthening its collaboration with students from across Japan, Asia, Europe and beyond, and will continue to do its upmost to support students on their professional development journeys. The future is bright with students like these lighting the way.
