Your First Visit to Hanoi French Hospital

Booking a Consultation

You can contact the relevant department by choosing from Hanoi French Hospital’s Specialities using this form Make an appointment – Hanoi French Hospital

If you are unsure about what Speciality you need, you can select “I don’t know”, or select “General & Family Medicine” to see a GP first. After assessment, the GP can then refer you for further specialist consultation.

What to bring

There are some essential documents that you will need when attending either Emergency or Out-patient Services. If you are attending with a friend or loved one, you can assist one another in preparing. Make sure to bring:

  • Your passport or government issued I.D. card
  • Insurance details (only if applicable)
  • Information about allergies and current medical conditions or prescriptions
  • Access to your medical history (non-essential, only if possible)

On Arrival

A member of the HFH staff will ask you to complete the registration form. If you need help with translation, we will provide assistance in English, French or Japanese.

You will be asked to either provide insurance details or pay for medical services before attending your consultation. This is standard practice in Vietnam. Hanoi French Hospital accepts all major credit and debit cards.

You will be shown to your doctor’s office, and guided through any testing and/or imaging that is prescribed. You will be asked if you would like to consent before any additional testing and/or imaging occurs. If you agree to additional testing, you will be asked to pay before it can be completed.

Hospitalisation

If you require hospitalisation, any additional billing and insurance cover will be discussed later. You will not be charged for any service or medical attention that you do not give consent for.
