Celebrating the 28th anniversary of Hanoi French Hospital (HFH) – Accompanying you on the journey to healthy and fulfilling life.
On the morning of September 13th, 2025, the 6th floor of HFH was filled with warmth, connection, and inspiring conversations on healthy aging, as nearly 140 guests joined the special health workshop.
With a strong message of healthy living for middle-aged and older adults, the event was more than just a medical workshop- it was a bridge between doctors and patients, between knowledge and action, and between a 28-year legacy and a healthier, more proactive future.

Bringing medical knowledge closer – Clear, practical & actionable
The workshop opened with two insightful presentations from HFH medical experts, offering guests valuable and easy-to-apply knowledge on managing health risks as we age.
Dr. Sabrina Stefanizzi – Neurology Department, Coordinator of the Prevention Centre of Cardio-Vascular Diseases
Topic: “Common Age-Related Diseases – Focus on Neurological Disorders”
Dr. Sabrina helped participants better understand the early signs and risk factors of age-related conditions, particularly neurological disorders. She also shared effective ways to detect, prevent, and manage these conditions.
Common age-related health issues include:
- Cardiovascular diseases (hypertension, heart attack, stroke)
- Neurodegenerative disorders (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s)
- Musculoskeletal conditions (arthritis, osteoporosis, joint degeneration)
- Cancers
- Type 2 Diabetes
- Infections (pneumonia, UTIs, skin infections)
- Sensory decline (vision, hearing, smell)
- Mental health disorders (depression, anxiety, dementia)

Dr. Shun Kubo – General & Family Medicine Department
Topic: “The Key to Protecting Your Health: Nutrition, Exercise, and Regular Check-Ups”
Dr. Kubo emphasized that longevity doesn’t always mean good health. The foundation of well-being lies in consistent daily habits:
- Exercise regularly, even simple activities like walking or stretching
- Eat balanced meals – avoid extremes and control portions
- Use supplements only when necessary and with medical guidance
- Make health check-ups a routine
- And above all, family support plays a vital role in motivating older adults to take care of themselves
“Staying healthy is a journey that requires personal commitment and the support of loved ones,” Dr. Kubo concluded.

Engaging Q&A – A conversation, not just a lecture
One of the most dynamic parts of the event was the interactive Q&A session, where attendees directly engaged with the doctors. The atmosphere was open, friendly, and deeply meaningful.
Alongside Dr. Sabrina and Dr. Kubo, the seminar also featured leading experts from various specialties at HFH, including:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thanh Quang – ENT Department
- Dr. Cao Manh Lieu – Orthopedic Surgery Department
- Dr. Vo Van Quy – Urology Department
- Dr. Akiko Tomonari – Gastroenterology & Hepatology Department
These distinguished specialists brought with them decades of clinical experience and a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes.

From general questions about health and aging, to individual concerns and personal conditions -each query was answered with care, professionalism, and compassion. Many guests shared that it felt more like an open, two-way dialogue than a traditional seminar.

28 Years of Care – A journey that touches the heart
A powerful and emotional moment came when Mr. Magnus Ericsson, Deputy CEO of HFH, shared the hospital’s 28-year legacy of dedication and service.

He recalled key milestones – especially when HFH voluntarily shut down operations for six months to help Vietnam control the SARS outbreak, during which 44 HFH staff were infected, and six medical professionals lost their lives.
The story is not only a testament to HFH’s humanitarian values and social responsibility, but also a powerful commitment to always stand alongside the community in pursuit of healthier, happier lives.
Health benefits and special appreciation gifts
Participants not only walked away with useful medical knowledge, but also received special healthcare vouchers and exclusive anniversary gifts, including discounts on check-up packages and lucky draw memberships.

Final words – Committed to your health
Many guests expressed their desire for more such events in the future. With a mission to promote proactive and holistic healthcare, HFH reaffirms its commitment to being a trusted health companion for every family in Vietnam.
“For 28 years, we have proudly cared for both international and Vietnamese patients who expect the very highest standards of care. Our vision is to continue innovating, expanding services, and investing in both people and technology. We want HFH to remain a place that is safe, compassionate, and aligned with the very best international standards.” shared Mr. Magnus Ericsson.
Thank you to all who joined us. We look forward to welcoming you at our upcoming HFH health events!
