Workshop: Laparoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal diseases

According to statistics, as many as 70% of Vietnamese people are at risk of gastrointestinal conditions, for which treatment can be with internal medicine or by surgery. However, in among some of them, surgical intervention is required for effective treatment.

Laparoscopic surgery (through tiny incisions) is a mini invasive intervention being applied totreat a number of gastrointestinal diseases. In comparison with conventional open surgery, laparoscopic surgery offers plenty of benefits to patients such as minimized trauma to soft tissues, small surgical scars, shortened rehabilitation time, etc.

At Hanoi French Hospital, this intervention method is employed to treat:

  • Pathologies of the liver, bile, pancreas (gallstones, biliary stones, bile duct stone, liver cysts and tumors, pancreatic tumors, etc.)
  • Pathologies of the stomach – intestine (gastric tumors, gastric perforation, colon tumors, gastro esophageal reflux, intestinal tumors, appendicitis, bowel obstruction)
  • Pathologies of the abdominal wall (inguinal hernia, abdominal wall hernia and other postoperative hernias, etc.)

We would like to invite you to join us in the conference of LAPAROSCOPY IN TREATMENT OF GASTROINTESTINAM DISEASES to hear from our experts of the field, who will be sharing their insights of this minimally invasive surgery method with the following schedule:
