Rheumatology

The Rheumatology Department at Hanoi French Hospital specializes in the consultation, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases related to muscles, bones, joints, and connective tissues.   • Inflammatory joint and autoimmune diseases affecting joints and synovium: rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), dermatomyositis, scleroderma, Sjögren’s syndrome, Still’s disease, Behçet’s disease, Wegener’s granulomatosis, etc.
  • Degenerative and metabolic diseases: osteoarthritis, gout, crystal-induced arthropathies, osteoporosis, Paget’s disease, etc.
  • Muscle – tendon – ligament disorders: periarthritis of the shoulder, gluteus medius tendinitis, epicondylitis (tennis elbow/golfer’s elbow), De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, trigger finger, carpal and tarsal tunnel syndromes, etc.
  • Chronic pain and fibromyalgia
  • Infectious arthritis, reactive arthritis

In addition to medical treatment, the doctors also perform:

  • Joint aspiration procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
