On March 26, 2026, Hanoi Medical University successfully hosted its 12th Expanded Student Scientific Conference. The scientific evaluation was conducted by a panel of 58 experts, including professors, associate professors, and Dr. Erwan Debuc, General Director and Chief Medical Officer of Hanoi French Hospital, served as Chair of the Jury for Subcommittee No. 11 (French track).
Conducted entirely in English and French, this year’s event marked a significant advancement in both scale and academic quality, attracting a diverse group of young researchers from Vietnam and abroad.

According to information from the university, the conference welcomed 107 presenters across 11 specialized subcommittees, covering a wide spectrum of disciplines from basic sciences to clinical medicine and medical education. A total of 92 papers were presented in English and 14 in French, with strong representation in Clinical Surgery – Obstetrics, Clinical Internal Medicine – Pediatrics, and Medical Education.
In his role as Chair of the Jury for Subcommittee No. 11, Dr. Debuc assessed a diverse range of clinical and educational research presentations. Reflecting on the conference, Dr. Debuc emphasized:
“The scientific rigor observed was comparable to research work and presentations at leading international institutions such as Sorbonne University in Paris. I was particularly impressed by the quality of supervision provided by the professors, which was clearly reflected in both the depth of research and the quality of presentation. Students also demonstrated an excellent command of French, highlighting their strong ability to engage in international scientific communication.”
“The organizational quality of the conference was outstanding, supported by a friendly and collegial atmosphere that encouraged open academic exchange”, Dr. Debuc added.

Set against the backdrop of rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, the conference demonstrated the readiness of students to engage in global scientific discourse in both English and French. According to the university, the event serves as an important platform for students to strengthen research capabilities, develop critical thinking, and expand international academic connections.
The conference concluded successfully, reinforcing the position of Hanoi Medical University as a leading institution in medical education and research, while opening new opportunities for the next generation of healthcare professionals.
