FROM ACCURATE RECOGNITION TO EFFECTIVE TREATMENT OF COMMON ENT CONDITIONS

In the first presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thanh Quang, Deputy Medical Director and ENT Specialist at Hanoi French Hospital, provided guests with a fundamental understanding of the nasal and sinus system before analyzing treatment approaches for common conditions such as allergic rhinitis, acute and chronic sinusitis in adults, as well as frequent pediatric issues including rhinitis, pharyngitis, and adenoid hypertrophy.

In discussing sinusitis, a condition that can easily progress to chronic disease, Dr. Quang emphasized that effective treatment requires accurate identification of the underlying cause, careful assessment of inflammation severity, and the development of a personalized treatment plan, combining medical management with functional endoscopic sinus surgery when indicated.

Focusing on ear-related conditions, Dr. Doan Viet Cuong, ENT Specialist at Hanoi French Hospital, provided attendees with a comprehensive perspective on common disorders such as otitis media in children, tinnitus, hearing loss, and vestibular disorders. He highlighted that the core principle of effective treatment lies in accurate diagnosis of the underlying cause.
