Located within the hospital premises, the Consultation Center is designed to provide families with convenient, on-site consultations and reliable information about cord blood and stem cell banking services. The initiative also aims to ensure that collection and storage procedures adhere to international medical standards, with maternal and newborn health remaining the highest priority.
Through this collaboration, Hanoi French Hospital, VSCB, and Cryoviva Vietnam also seek to promote knowledge sharing and professional exchange among their teams, fostering a shared commitment to innovation and scientific advancement.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Dr. Erwan Debuc, General Director & Chief Medical Officer of Hanoi French Hospital, said: “Our responsibility extends beyond providing the highest standards of maternity care. We are also committed to anticipating medical advances and responding to the healthcare needs of future generations. This partnership reflects our ambition to further develop Hanoi French Hospital into an increasingly innovative healthcare institution, one that combines excellence in patient care today with the medical advances of tomorrow.”

Umbilical cord blood and umbilical cord tissue are valuable biological resources that can be collected shortly after birth. As collection is only possible within a limited window around delivery, advance planning and access to reliable information are important for families considering cord blood and cord tissue banking.
At the Center, VSCB serves as the distributor of Cryoviva Vietnam’s cord blood banking products and services, providing consultations and helping families explore suitable storage solutions. Clients can access information about stem cell sources and their potential applications, sample collection and processing procedures, storage methods and locations, storage duration, and the benefits included in the available service packages.
Cryoviva Vietnam is a tissue bank licensed by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam. Within the scope of its license, it directly undertakes sample receipt, processing, quality assessment, and storage. Cryoviva Vietnam also maintains AABB accreditation and, in 2026, successfully completed its accreditation reassessment for the second consecutive time.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Quyen, Director of VSCB – Cryoviva Vietnam, shared: “We hope the Counseling Center at Hanoi French Hospital will provide families with convenient access to reliable scientific information, a welcoming space to discuss their concerns, and the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about umbilical cord blood banking for their children. We greatly appreciate our partnership with Hanoi French Hospital and are committed to delivering meaningful value to families.”
