Nutrition
Nutrition is the intake of food, considered in relation to the body’s dietary needs. Good nutrition – an adequate, well balanced diet combined with regular physical activity – is a cornerstone of good health. Poor nutrition can lead to reduced immunity, impaired physical and mental development, reduced productivity, and increased susceptibility to disease (WHO)
Nutrition is needed from the day of birth until they die. Each person has a different nutritional need. Different patients also need different nutritional care.
Foods needed for the human body are Protein; oil/fat (Lipid); carbohydrate (Glucid); vitamins, minerals, fiber and water
Nutrition Department, Hanoi French Hospital (HFH) provides counselling and proper nutrition care for all people (children and adult); provides proper nutrition and enteral, parenteral nutrition for the patients

Non-communicable nutrition related chronic diseases such as Overweight / Obesity, Thinning / Exhaustion, Anorexia, Malnutrition, Stunting, Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia, Hypertension, Gout, Osteoporosis, Cancer ...
Establish a proper menu for each object according to each type of disease and needs
Nutrition care and rehabilitation for malnourished children, CED adults, pregnant women, lactating mothers, postpartum women
Guide on nutrition practices and provide appropriate nutrition products
Inpatient Nutrition Care
Nutritionists visit, evaluate the nutrition status to adjust and provide proper nutrition for each patient, for patients with specific nutritional needs (enteral, parenteral nutrition), according to the patient's condition in ICU, patients with liver disease, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease ... Then, continue to monitor to ensure patients strictly adhere to the proposed diet. Investigate tolerance, explain to patients about specific nutrition and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition.
Upon discharge, patients are advised to use proper diets also
Nutrition communication and education
Nutritionists conduct nutrition education communication training to improve the awareness and understanding of proper nutrition for patients, health workers and other customers.
